On Wednesday, May 22nd at
7 PM, Carmichael's welcomes
environmental writer Erik Reece for a discussion and signing of his
newest book The Embattled Wilderness : The Natural and Human History of
Robinson Forest, which he co-wrote with James J. Krupa. Robinson
Forest in eastern Kentucky is one of our most important natural
landscapes - and one of the most threatened. The Embattled Wilderness
is a readable yet rigorous, passionate yet reasoned summation of what
can be found, or lost, in Robinson Forest and other irreplaceable
